Fall in the Rockies???

On August 15th we woke up to cold, rain at the YMCA. It rained most of that day and most of the 16th. These pictures of the fresh snow on the mountains were taken on the 16th. We drove up as far was they would let us go (Many Curves overlook) on Trail Ridge. The rest of Trail Ridge is closed for now because of the snow, etc. The locals say that they have never seen it snow this early before. It seems so strange to need coats here, but believe me they feel good. This morning it is 40 degrees, but the sun is shining. So I am sure that it will warm up quickly.

There are lots of baby deer and elk down from the mountains now. So maybe they are going to have an early fall.

We will be traveling back to Texas on Thursday and Friday after Labor Day. Any snow there??

No snow here! Bring some back with you! I heard there were records broken in Colorado due to the cold weather. Bring me a baby deer too :)

It snowed at my house last night. We also had 2 or 3 deer in our yard but I couldn't get a picture of them because the elephant scared them off.

There was a bigfoot in my flowerbed this morning and he was so sweet...we chatted and I didn't even think about snapping a pic of him. There were several others lurking so I'm sure they'll be back!

Even though you're coming home this week, I hope that doesn't mean the blogging will slow down! :)

Is it sad that I have more comments per blog entry than you have blog entries per month? Haha
